Right at home on any early Klunker, Cruiser or MTB, the Snake Belly features an instantly-recognizable tread design like no other, and performance to match.

A tire as significant as the Snake Belly has of course been copied (poorly) and riffed-on (cheaply) a dozen times over the years.  But the new Snake Belly tire is no copy, no tribute, and no cheap replica.  This tire is the real deal, with real DNA, and then some. 

In 1979 Panaracer Tire Corporation of Japan designed and manufactured the first Snake Belly tires for 20” BMX bikes. This design was scaled up to 26” not too long thereafter, instantly becoming a juggernaut of BMX Cruiserdom as well as arguably the first purpose-built “Mountain Bike” tire. Now, forty-five years later House of Looptail has a formal partnership with Panaracer to again produce this iconic tire.

While other tributes invariably go cheap, we’ve taken the exact opposite approach.  Not only do we have the original designer and manufacturer on board, we’ve elevated the quality of this tire to new heights.  There's literally never been a Snake Belly this nice:
