The Trusty PBJ - While this PBJ stands for “Performance Basket Jammer” the similarities to our favorite sandwich are hard to ignore. It may look simple, but you can always count on it to get you through the day. The PBJ is your go-to. This is the bike you can grab with no plans and take it anywhere. Set it up geared or single speed with the adjustable dropouts, rigid or 100-120mm of suspension. Adam arrived on the PBJ design after building several touring/bike packing bikes for himself and realizing that a bike you like is the best bike to ride on all day. Being able to run a variety of tire sizes is nice but this bike is built for someone who doesn't mind pushing a bit bigger tire all day because it is worth it to let 'er rip on those hard-earned descents. The handling is familiar and playful and it will bring you anywhere you want to go, just don’t forget to pack a sandwich!
The PBJ came about after many tries at making the “perfect” touring bike. Of course there is no perfect one bike, but dangit this one is pretty good at just about anything. Run it with a rigid fork and seatpost and 2.4-2.6” tires for an incredibly capable and comfy bikepacking and bicycle touring bike. Without bags it is fun for jamming on fast trails or urban cruising. Swap out the rigid setup for a 100mm fork and dropper post for a fast and capable XC mountain bike, or go anywhere inbetween! The Adjustable and modular dropouts mean you can run single speed, gears or experiment with different chainstay lengths.
The geometry is informed by modern MTB geometry designed around a slightly longer front center and a shorter stem, but designed with the intent to remain playful and nimble. A bike built for fun

Fit Guide
We often get questions about fit and strong reactions to the reach numbers on these frames. Reach, as an indicator of fit, does not take into account seat tube angle or head tube angle and due to the steep seat tube and slack headtube angle on these bikes reach makes them look longer than they are. The important numbers are your saddle height and distance from saddle to handlebar. Here are the saddle heights and saddle to bar reaches we had in mind designing the sweet spot, measured from the BB center to the top of the saddle center and from the tip of the saddle to center of the stem. Also, please note these frames are designed to be ridden with a 30-50mm stem.
Small - 64-69 CM saddle height, 44.5-51 CM saddle to stem. Rider height 5'4-5'8"ish
Medium - 68-74 CM saddle height, 50-53.5 CM saddle to stem. Rider height 5'8"-5'11"ish
Large - 73-79 CM saddle height, 53-57 CM saddle to stem. Rider height 5'10"-6'1"ish
XL - 78-82 CM saddle height, 56-60 CM saddle to stem. Rider height 6'-6'4"ish
These numbers are just rough suggestions. Please double-check and ask us or your bike fitter or send is an email if you have any questions or concerns.
